Child Safety at Terrey Hills Swim Club

At Terrey Hills Swim Club (THSC), the safety and well-being of our young swimmers are paramount. We are dedicated to fostering a secure, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and protected.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

THSC is committed to embedding child safety within our organization by implementing the ten (10) Child Safe Standards of the NSW Child Safe Scheme. These standards are designed to drive cultural change to create, maintain, and improve child-safe practices .

Our objectives include:

  • Creating a safe environment: Ensuring that all club activities are conducted in a manner that prioritizes the safety and well-being of children.
  • Empowering young swimmers: Encouraging children to express their views and participate in decisions affecting them.
  • Engaging families and communities: Collaborating with parents and the broader community to uphold child safety.
  • Implementing robust policies: Establishing clear procedures for responding to child safety concerns.
